In Level 5 , students get even more in-depth into the long form improvisation format known as HAROLD. They explore new territory and techniques such as the invocation, analogous second beats and the run. Students will learn to create a more cohesive and unified piece of theatrical comedy.
The class is once a week for eight weeks. At the end of the class, students show off their improv skills in a class graduation show!

INSTRUCTOR: Fred Brown
Fred came up through the Philly improv scene and spent 7 years teaching, coaching, performing, and directing longform improv, mostly at the Philly Improv Theater. More recently he lived in Ithaca NY and taught longform classes there. He is a member of the long-standing Philly team The Future (now distributed across the country), who performed weekly for over 6 years and at various festivals around North America. He coaches SCIT Harold Team NARSH! Fred earned his MFA in Devised Performance from the Pig Iron School at University of the Arts in Philadelphia, with training in movement, improvisation, mask-work, and clown. He works as a facilitator, trainer, and team coach, specializing in applied improvisation and collaboration skills.
