This 4 week class explores the long form, Slacker, named after the Richard Linklater film from 1990. In Slacker all scenic transitions are made via a tag out only. Every new scene will have at least one character from the previous scene. The Slacker is a unique form that allows a team to explore characters more deeply and discover new ways to make interesting connections. The form has been attributed to the Chicago/Los Angeles improv team, Beer Shark Mice.
You can see a Slacker most Fridays performed by NARSH as part of the SCIT Super Show!
